May F. Lawrence is yet another composer of whom relatively little (almost nothing) is known. The „Biographical Dictionary<\/a> of the Organ“ states that she died in 1958 in the US. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Works by May F. Lawrence have been published in „The Organist<\/a>“ and there are two hymn tunes written by her in „The Cokesbury Worship Hymnal“: Come, let us worship<\/a> and Long years ago<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Finnish organist Marko Hakanp\u00e4\u00e4 has published two organ pieces by May on his YouTube Channel (I’m providing links to community-run servers without tracking, but in case they stop working, I’ll also provide the YouTube IDs so you can see the videos there):

The page numbers are the pages in the pdf file, not the page numbers in the collection itself.
